Our NLP algorithms identify all of the organizations mentioned within the documents of a query. Organizations may be identified by their aliases, stock tickers and acronyms. For example we capture Apple, Apple, Inc., and AAPL. When you run a query, we identify all of the organizations mentioned in it, along with the connected events, people, locations and related organizations. Within the context of your query, you then see organizations in a few different ways:
Organization Page
The Organizations page lists of all organizations in a query, sorted by number of events they appear in. You can also sort the organizations table by "related people", "related organizations" and "related locations". If you are looking for a specific organization, use the “Find Keywords” dialog box. Additionally, you can download an excel table of all the organizations mentioned in a query by clicking the "Download" box.
Organization Data
If you click on an organization, we provide a deep dive of the organization, within the context of your query. This includes a summary page, which gives a snapshot of the organization’s recent coverage, related people, locations, and related organizations. For more information, click on the corresponding tab on the top of the page. We show a count of how many times any mention occurs within a given search. By clicking on the mention count, we allow you to explore the context, source and original text of every single one of those mentions.
Organizations within the main People tab
When exploring a person within the main People tab, when you click on a person we show the organizations related to them. You can click on that organization to go to its structured data page.
