Our NLP algorithms identify all of the People mentioned within all documents in a query. This may include different spellings of their names, and occasions when they are referred to with pronouns, nicknames or abbreviated names. When you run a query, We identify all of the people mentioned in the documents that match your keywords, along with their affiliations, quotes, links to events, locations, organizations, and other related people.
Within the context of your query, you can visualize People in a few different ways:
People Page
The people page provides a list of all the people and their affiliations for a query, sorted by number of events in which they are mentioned. You can also sort by the number of "related affiliations", "quotes", "related people", "related organizations" and "related locations" for a specific individual. If you are looking for a specific person or affiliation, use the “Find Keywords” dialog box. The People page is a great way to quickly learn about a person that you may not be immediately familiar with as they appear within the context of your query.
People Details and More
If you click on a person from the people page, it will take you to a set of tabs similar to those in the Events and Organizations page. Information includes a summary page which provides a snapshot of their recent coverage, affiliations, quotes, locations, organizations and related people. For more information on a specific area, click on the corresponding tab on the top of the page. For any mention, we show a count of how many times it occurred within the search. By clicking on the mention count, we allow you to explore the context, source and original text of every single one of those mentions.
People in Events or Organizations
When exploring an event or organization, we show the people related to them. Clicking on that person’s name will take you to their People Details page.
